DIY marketing materials for small businesses.

As a small business, we like to save money where we can even if that means putting a few extra hours of work in here and there.

In this post, we're going to tell you how we put together our marketing packs on a budget that we use for networking events and face-to-face marketing.

Why is it good to have marketing packs?

Face-to-face marketing is still the number 1 most effective form of marketing for all and any business whether you're heading to a networking event, attending a business fair or going from business to business on the high street. whatever you're doing it's worth having something to leave behind.

What do our packs include?

It depends on what we need the packs for but included in the pack photographed below we designed a folded leaflet with our packages, some examples of our work or we like to call it a 'mini portfolio' and a business card.

Some other ideas for what you can include are:

- A coupon

- Something interactive (we considered adding a packaging example that could be easily erected)

- A small handy gift such as a branded pen or a sample of your product

- Brochure

What materials & tools do we use?

We designed our own materials and these were the tools we use to turn those designs into tangible items.

How much does it cost?

Once you have the equipment you're looking at a few pence per marketing pack.

Thinking outside the box:

Don't be afraid to think outside the box a little. You want your materials to stand out and catch someone's eye. It's also always worth asking the recipient to pass your materials on to someone else who might need them rather than putting them in the bin.

Finally take your time with your marketing materials and get creative with them! If you're missing anything or need a designer than feel free to get in touch with us here at The Kind Design Studio and we'll hep you work through your most affordable options!
